In Memory of Mike Molstead
Mike was one of the finest and most devoted supporters of Comet athletics. Together with Paula, he stood among the greatest champions of the Charles City Community School District—not only through their generous financial support, but through their unwavering presence and commitment to our students.
Mike was more than a fan in the stands. He was a dedicated father, a coach on the court and field, and an advocate for every young person in Charles City. His passion went beyond building athletic skills; he inspired success, leadership, and love for the game in all who knew him.
What made Mike truly special was his belief that athletics were about more than competition. He reminded us that teams are families we choose, and that the lessons learned on the field—hard work, heart, and unity—shape lives far beyond the scoreboard. His legacy will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched.
